This Is How It All Started
In the small town of Dublin, in Bucks County, PA - The Floyd Family Farm was a cornerstone of the town.
Our Great Grandfather William Floyd and Great Grandmother Henrietta Rae Floyd, built several homes along Dublin Road, leading up to the main farm house situated on many acres of land.
Among those homes, many of their children, grandchildren and great grand children raised their families.
Enter our Mother (Blanche Floyd) a "city gal" who married one of Henrietta and William's grandchildren (our Dad).
Our Mom (an amazing cook) and our Great Grandmother (also an amazing cook) bonded over their love of food and feeding their families.
Our Mom was known for taking local Pennsylvania Dutch staples and making them her own.
One of these tradition dishes was Bread Pudding. Family Legend has it that Blanche took this traditional favorite and made it her own, and it was so well received by our Great Grandmother that it forever became known in our family as "Grandmom Great's Bread Pudding"!
That is why we named our company after our beloved Great Grandmother : Henrietta Rae.
Now we are thrilled to bring this legendary recipe to YOUR table.
What The Heck Is A "P-Ouffle"?
When we decided to bring our Family Bread Pudding Recipe to the world, we were faced with taking a 5LB Family Sized Dessert and bringing it to a new generation of dessert lovers.
Through many test bakes we came up with a portion size that is just right! And through sharing those little beauties with friends and family, we got a lot of amazing feedback.
There was a common theme as we got comments back, this was unlike any bread pudding that people had ever eaten.
Comments like "Bread Pudding that I grew up with was soggy and wet ... yours is fluffy and substantial and can be hand held! More like a SOUFFLE than a Bread Pudding"
We lovingly nicknamed these little beauties "P-Ouffles" the perfect combo of bread pudding and souffle. The name stuck - and P-Ouffles were born!
